Prototype Information:
The ES (Evolution Series) of locomotives were designed to meet the U.S. EPA’s Tier 2 locomotive emissions guidelines that took effect in 2005. Since then, railroads such as Canadian National have adopted the ES44 throughout their network. CN has deep roots in the United States and plays a vital role in the nation’s railroad operations. As part of America’s 250th Anniversary, Canadian National has introduced a striking “screaming eagle” design on locomotive numbered 1776 which pays homage to military service and the United States striped flag.
